GENERAL FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES

• Firearm and Toolmark Identification 
• Shooting Reconstruction
• Case Evaluation
• Field Investigations
• Research
• Forensic Training and Instruction

RATE AND PAYMENT POLICY:

$400/hour, payable to Forensic Science Consultants.

This fee applies to all work done, including bench work, consultation, trials, hearings, depositions, travel time, document review and interviews. Invoices of work done are always provided.

Payment is the responsibility of the agency or law firm, not a client of that agency or firm.

RETAINERS:

Retainers are determined by an initial estimate of the total amount of time a case may require. The first two hours of a retainer fee are non-refundable in the event the matter is resolved after initial work has begun, including document review.
 

Government agencies are not required to pay a retainer fee, but are required to submit a letter or email documenting that funds are allocated and approved. 

TRAVEL AND EXPENSES:

Travel time is billed at the normal hourly rate.

Air travel arrangements and/or rental cars are the fiscal responsibility of the hiring law firm or agency. 

Air travel legs over 2 ½ hours must be booked at a minimum of business class.

Billings not paid 40 days after the send date are assessed an additional 5% per week.
